PAM TAGAM

"if pain must come, may it come quickly. because i have a life to live and i need to live it the best way possible. if he has to make a choice, may he make it now. then i will either wait for him or forget him. waiting is painful. forgetting is painful. but not knowing which to do is the worst kind of suffering."

- paulo coelho, by the river piedra, i sat down and wept

IGO

my good friend dinna has been constantly reminding me to listen to the song she strongly believes i could totally relate to..

where have you been?
i've been waiting so long to hear from you
and all the things that we said we would do
remains to be plans of the past.

we've been, we've been too quiet for too long.
where is, where is the hope we once had?
it's too late to be saved by your charm,
we'll never get this right.

your words are cold, and the season is, too,
the comfort in your voice is gone.
don't keep in touch, i'm better off all alone
you've lost everything that i've loved.

so is it worth this time?
am i done in your mind?
will i regret once you're gone?
why did i ever think that we would, we would be good?

we've been, we've been too quiet for too long.
where is, where is the hope we once had?
it's too late to be saved by your charm,
we'll never get this right.

well alright, i'm sorry i even tried.
i was a fool to have hope in you, in you.

AND I MUST ADMIT, I'VE NEVER AGREED WITH SOMEONE THIS MUCH.

igo,

some song

Gone away are the golden days
Just a page in my diary
So here I am a Utopian citizen
Still convinced
There's no such thing as idealism
Memories they're following me like a shadow now
And I'm dreaming
And I've already suffered the fever of disbelief

I've seen your act
And I know all the facts
I'm still in love with who I wish you were
It ain't hard to see
Who you are underneath
I'm still in love with who I wish you were
And I wish you were here

I was true as the sky is blue
I couldn't soon say the same for you
So now I find denial in my eyes
I'm mesmerized by the picture that's in my mind
Tell me when I'll finally see your shallow heart
For what it is
'Cause I don't want to keep on believing in illusions

I've seen your act
And I know all the facts
I'm still in love with who I wish you were
It ain't hard to see
Who you are underneath
I'm still in love with who I wish you were
And I wish you were here

Sometimes I can't explain
And I'm so sorry that I can't
I'll try to concentrate
On your true identity

I've seen your act
And I know all the facts
I'm still in love with who I wish you were
It ain't hard to see
Who you are underneath
I'm still in love with who I wish you were
And I wish you were here

I've seen your act
And I know all the facts
I'm still in love with who I wish you were
It ain't hard to see
Who you are underneath
I'm still in love with who I wish you were
And I wish you were here

I wish you were here...
I wish you were here...
I wish you were here...

I LOVE AND MISS YOU

am i there yet?

*as you've noticed, the previous entry was entitled journey to memory lane (emphasis on to) which meant i have yet to arrive at the said destination*

lately, i've been suffering from sleep deprivation to the extent that whenever i gaze at my reflection in front of the mirror, my very eyes seem to grow bigger and bigger as those of the gigantic squid's.

hyperbole much? waaaaa ANYWAY..

yesternight, after a minute or two of counting sheep and battling insomnia, i ceased the ridiculousness and grabbed the nearest object in sight, which was my nokia6600 cellular phone.

after reviewing photos and re-reading text messages, i came across to one of the, uhm, well-hidden folders (haha!) in the messaging corner and wistfully longed of two most significant people during my last year in high school ---> laila, my best friend, and he-who-must-not-be-named.

this was one of the literary pieces we discussed in senior english class. our professor, miss abay, informed us then that this poem's entitled the dilemma, and the poet's anonymous. when i surfed the web, however, results notified me that it was the risk, by william arthur ward. hm, neither will do, actually. i'd give laila the credits anyway :)

so sittie laila abpi guinomla text-messaged me this poem. i could still remember when and why she sent this :)

The Dilemma

To laugh is to risk appearing a fool
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental

To reach out to another is to risk involvement
To expose feelings is to risk rejection

To place dreams before the crowd is to risk ridicule
To love is to risk not being loved in return

To go forward in the face of overwhelming odds is to risk failure
But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing

The person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, is nothing
He may avoid suffering or sorrow, but he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or love

Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave
He has forfeited his freedom

Only a person who takes risks is free.....

i have come to realize i never would have grinned from ear-to-ear,
or have might as well wept myself to slumber,
if it weren't for courage to take risks,
now would i?

P.S. since i informed only three people about my blog site, pamelancholia.blogspot.com, i would like to seize this opportunity to express my gratitude to the three of you. HAHAHA

HELLO, LAILA, DINNA, GEVA :)

Wandering Aimlessly Along Memory Lane,
PAMELAncholia

journey to memory lane

man, am i fond of reminiscing the good old days.

tatanga-tanga , tutunga-tunganga

all alone
staring at the horizon
pensive until dawn

PAST

"No one knew I was going away,

I thought myself I should come back some day.

I could not return from my liberty,

To my youth and my love and my misery.

The past is the only dead thing that smells sweet,

The only sweet thing that is not also fleet.

I’m bound away for ever,

Away somewhere, away for ever."
